Carisa became a Certified Paraoptometric and a member of the American Optometric Association in 2007.  Having worked in the field since 1999 she has experience as an optician, lab technician, and paraoptometric and can assist in many aspects of the office.  She also has extensive knowledge on insurances and what she doesn't know she is more than willing to research so our patients are aware of their benefits.  Carisa is currently studying to become a certified optician, as well as the next level of certification for paraoptometrics.

Kathy started  in this field as an optician and lab technician in 1996.  Although she specializes and manages the optical side of the office, she has learned the optometric side very quickly and enjoys it as well.  Kathy is currently preparing to take the American Board of Opticianry exam in order to obtain certification as an optician and to continue to educate patients on the newest technology for their eye care needs.  

Jassin has been in the optical field since 1997 as an optician and lab technician.  He is a UT graduate and specializes in the optical side of the office, as well as corrective eye surgery consulting.  Jassin hopes to go back to school for optometry, but in the meantime plans to learn as much as possible as he acquires more experience in the field.  

Amanda is currently a student at Texas State pursuing a degree in education.  She came to our office with four years of experience as an optician.  New to the paraoptometric side of the field, she is enjoying learning about and performing preliminary tests.
